Real moments of your family together being yourselves.

If you have been wanting photos of you and your loved ones that are relaxed, natural, unposed and beautiful, capturing your real personalities during a short and sweet visit to a lovely coastal location, I’m happy to let you know I’ll be conducting mini sessions at Balmoral Beach and it’s neighbouring Edwards Beach as the weather warms up.

It could be exploring rock pools, watching the beach and ocean from up on Rocky Point Island, relaxing on the sand by beautiful sandstone formations or playing in the sand while having a laugh and a cuddle with your partner or kids and getting a chance to tell them what you love about them.

Below are all the details and terms and conditions for the mini sessions. Once you submit the form below I will confirm your session time and then forward an invoice for the session fee which will need to be paid upfront in order to secure your booking.

Session length

Each session is 20 minutes long. Please do your best to be on time because it will have a knock on effect on the other bookings.

What do we receive?

  • 15+ digital images in a personalised online viewing gallery for download as low and high resolution images
  • option to purchase prints through your online gallery

The total fee is $280 (session fee of $100 to secure your spot, and $180 due when your online viewing gallery has been revealed). Once you return the form below I will forward an invoice for the session fee which will need to be paid to secure your booking. Prints can be purchased at an additional cost through your online gallery.

Balmoral and Edwards Beaches, Mosman

Beaches and coastal formations changes daily and there cannot be a guarantee on the state of the beach during your photo session. Regardless, there are many lovely options around the beach for us to use.

I love really natural and unposed photographs. Photos that are real representations of a person just being themselves. I like to chat to you first and get to know a little about you and give your children a chance to warm up. I like to ask questions when I’m taking photographs to get people to relax and look at each other. I love photographs where people connect with each other. Please don’t tell your children what to do unless it is a matter of safety. Too much instruction on children tends to close them down and a little of the fun is lost. My sessions are best when they are unscripted and filled with connection and movement. I’ll then take some photos and it’ll be all done. My sessions are very low pressure and I don’t like to do much posing. I’ll move around you while you’re spending the time together. I’ll share a preview with you within 48 hours.

Whatever you feel comfortable in with the location and that reflects you, as you want to be feeling good and relaxed. I suggest wearing what you would if you were going to that location anyway. I don’t recommend matching outfits – i.e. all jeans and white shirts, just be yourselves. It’s a good idea to avoid clothing with large brand names and writing all across them. The most important thing tho is that everyone feels comfortable and happy to be themselves.

I have a five year old and a three year old so I completely understand that you can never tell what will happen on a particular day, so I encourage people to let children be themselves. I recommend that children have had something to drink and eat before the session which can generally help keep them in a better mood and that your chosen session time isn’t at a time your child would normally be napping. Too much fussing or directing can result in tantrums or clamming up as they can get overwhelmed which can then stress out the rest of the family. The loveliest images, I find, are ones where people are being themselves without guidance – real moments and connection. There is no pressure to perform during the session and if you want to take a few minutes as a time out, we can do that. I’m a fan of real life moments, the messy, emotional and imperfect things in our lives that result in beautiful connections. These images are best as real representations of you and your family in the now.

Within 2-3 weeks of the session you will receive a link to an online gallery where you can view your photos. You will also be able to share your selected images with family and friends and download them as low and high resolution files. I aim to have galleries delivered within 2 weeks, but sometimes I’m unable to do so. If you order prints these can take at least 3 weeks to be delivered.

Once you have viewed your online gallery of images you can place orders for printed products with your selected images. I offer framed prints, custom designed boutique lay flat albums, thank you cards and a range of other products.

Futher, if the Photographer is unable to delivery photographic materials due to technological malfunctions, including but not limited to camera and processing, otherwise lost or damages without fault of the Photographer, liability shall be limited. The Photographer reserves the right to cancel this contract for any reason. Care of children at outdoor locations and in-home is entirely the responsibility of the parent/career. If a child climbs a tree/wall, for example, I will be thinking about the photo opportunity and it is up to you to supervise your child. Please ensure you are comfortable with your surrounds at all times.
